Leadership

Josh Terry
Founder & President

Josh Terry is the Founder and President of Shorewood Capital, a Dallas-based single-family investment firm. He is an experienced investor across public and private markets with over 20 years of experience spanning structured credit, private equity, real estate, venture investments and public securities.

He is also the President of Acis Capital Management, an investment adviser that has issued over $3 billion in securitizations since inception. Josh co-founded Acis in 2011 and helped grow the firm to approximately $3.7 billion in assets under management before his departure in 2016. He re-acquired the business and returned as President in 2019.

Earlier in his career, Josh ran the trading desk and structured products team at Highland Capital, where he served on the investment committee and managed fixed income portfolios totalling over $10 billion of assets. He began his career in investment banking at Stephens Inc.

In 2018, he was named a finalist for the Good Works Under 40 Award presented by the Dallas Foundation and The Dallas Morning News for his work with Uplift Education.

Josh graduated summa cum laude from Baylor University with a BBA in Finance and Economics, where he also played on the men’s soccer team. He holds the Chartered Financial Analyst® designation. He lives in Dallas with his wife and two children.
